Stephen Brown

Stephen T. Brown of Selden, NY passed away peacefully January 16, 2018 at his residence in Pompano Beach Florida due to complications from  a heart and respiratory condition. Steve was retired from the New York City Police Department where he was a highly decorated and dedicated Detective First Grade. He spent most of his career working as an undercover narcotics officer in units such as Narcotics Borough Manhattan South and the Organized Crime Control Bureau. Steve participated in the recovery efforts as an officer during the World Trade Center attacks. He received numerous awards for his valor, and his dedication to his career was paramount.  Steve Brown is someone who will never be forgotten. Steve had many great times and hard times. But through all the obstacles he found pleasure in spending time with many friends and family by entertaining them with his stand up humor, and sharing his legendary stories about his journey through life. He is survived by his mother Kathy and his brother Douglas.
