It is a great sadness that we announced the passing of our beloved sister, Rosemarie S Callari she rode away on a firetruck on February 11, 2024 at the age of 59. We were running after it but we couldn’t catch it. Rosemarie was in a rush to celebrate my father’s birthday with him so she had the firetruck pick her up and rush her to the pearly gates. Ro as she was fondly known by most, was born with fire gear on, on August 15, 1964 in Port Jefferson, New York to “The Commish” Joseph G Callari and “Maud” Susan Ammirato Callari.
Ro, loved to help people and gave most of her time to the Selden Fire Department helping out and taking care of the community. Ro was loved by all who she met. She let you know when she was right and you were wrong. It was like a fire blazing in a house. Ro was a very passionate person about the Republican club as well. She always made sure she let you know who was the best person for the job. She would always cheer let’s go, Brandon. Ro helped with many blood drives. Ro helped out anywhere she was needed. Ro was a wonderful sister, aunt and friend. She was always there for anyone who needed advice, especially when someone was sick or hurt. Ro was an NYS-EMTCC. She drove the ambulance as well as attended to the patients in the back. You could call Ro anytime day or night and Ro would be ready to help. She had a masters degree. She loved all her nieces and nephews, and she was very proud to be their aunt. Ro loved her goddaughter and always said she was the child she never had. Ro will always be remembered for playing hard, loving fierce, loving life and always lending a helping hand. Ro is survived by her sister Teresa Callari Ghosio and her brothers Joseph Callari, Michael Callari. Her many nieces and nephews and preceded in death by her parents, Joseph G Callari and Susan Ammirato Callari. May Ro rest in peace with our lord Jesus Christ.
