Norah Bracken

Norah Theresa Bracken (nee Rooney) was born on November 27, 1929 in Tuam, Galway Ireland.  Daughter of John Rooney and Bridget Rooney (nee Gilligan). Norah was the eldest of 9 children. She is survived by siblings Mary Rooney Feeney of Coram, and Paddy Rooney and Margaret Rooney Tully of Ireland. Norah arrived in the USA (NYC) during the blizzard of 1948. She met Patrick Joseph Bracken and and they were married in Augsburg, Germany October 24, 1953, where Patrick was serving in the Army. Five children followed. She is survived by eldest son Patrick Bracken, sons John Bracken and Michael Bracken, and daughter Nora Calvitto. Youngest son Timothy passed away in 2012. She will be dearly missed by all of the members of her extended family including grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, in-laws and friends.
