We are gathered in memory and celebration of the life of Joseph C. Peraino, affectionately known as Joe, who passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on June 11, 1933, in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, Joe's journey began as a son of the city that never sleeps. His final days were spent surrounded by the love and care of his family, where he gently succumbed to natural causes. Joe's life was marked by a spirited entrepreneurial drive, which saw him establish and nurture successful businesses across diverse industries, including garment, fish, bar, video, and movie. His ingenuity and work ethic were surpassed only by his integrity. Family was the axis upon which Joe's world spun. He was a devoted husband to his late wife, Georgia, and a loving father to his children, Anthony, Benedict, Lori and husband John, Joseph, Robert and wife Amy. Joe's legacy continued through his cherished grandchildren, Alexandra, Christian, Anna Sophia, Shannon, and Tara, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to his life. His role as a patriarch was defined by love, intelligence, and thoughtfulness, attributes that he instilled in his family. Joe was a man of many passions. An avid fan of the Yankees and the Jets, he relished the highs and lows of the games, celebrating each victory with the same zeal as he did the milestones in his life. He cherished the nostalgic game of stickball, automobiles of every make and model, the quiet moments spent with a good book, and the art of storytelling at Sunday family dinners. These interests were more than hobbies; they were the threads that wove the rich tapestry of Joe's life. Above all, Joe was a storyteller. His tales, often recounted over meals shared with loved ones, were filled with wisdom, humor, and adventure. They will continue to resonate in the hearts and minds of his family and friends, serving as a testament to a life well-lived. Joe's passage through life was marked by an unwavering commitment to his family and his work. His presence was a beacon of stability and love, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Joseph C. Peraino, we take solace in the knowledge that his spirit lives on through the memories we cherish and the lives he touched. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing that his was a life truly well-lived.
