It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Georgios Stathakos, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, at the age of 86. He passed away peacefully at his home on April 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Greece, Georgios immigrated to New York in pursuit of a better life. With unwavering determination, a tireless work ethic, and a heart full of dreams, he built a life filled with love, adventure, and resilience. As the proud owner of his own auto repair shop for over 50 years, he poured his soul into his craft, earning the trust and admiration of all who knew him.
Georgios was a man of many passions—a true man of all trades. He found joy in the rhythm of music, whether through dancing with his beloved wife or simply moving to the beat of life itself. He was captivated by the charm of old Westerns, drawn to their tales of bravery and honor. His love for travel took him on countless adventures all over the world, where he embraced new experiences with open arms and an eager spirit.
Above all, Georgios treasured his family beyond measure. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Theophania, and his three children: Rose (Michael), Penni (Michael), and Peter (Klarriz). He was also a proud and adoring grandfather to his four granddaughters: Victoria, Adrianna, Theoni, and Eleftheria, each of whom he cherished deeply. His legacy of love, strength, and perseverance will live on in them and in his future grandson and namesake.
Georgios will forever be remembered for his kindness, his wisdom, and the sacrifices he made to ensure the happiness and well-being of his loved ones. His laughter, his stories, and the warmth of his presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
May he rest in eternal peace.
