Elaine passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026, at 9:41 a.m., surrounded by the love of her family. She was comforted in her final moments by her son, Eric Grube Sr., and her granddaughters, Kayleigh Boyer-Grube and Phaedra Grube-Barraza. At 91 years old, Elaine lived a long and beautiful life, one marked by love, strength, and devotion to her family. She was a dedicated homemaker, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. In every role she held, Elaine gave generously, selflessly, and was always able to make everyone laugh.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth “Papa” Grube, a proud Army servicemember, whom she lost far too soon. Even through that great loss, Elaine carried his memory with enduring love and grace as she continued to care for and guide her family.Elaine was also preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Bertha May Marold, and by her siblings Delores, John, Patricia, Clifford, Joseph, and Geraldine.Elaine is lovingly survived by her sisters, Vivian and Arletta; her three children, Kenneth Grube Jr, Hope Abruzzo, and Eric Grube Sr.; her Goddaughter Vickki Keller-Massello; her 11 grandchildren, Kayleigh Boyer-Grube, Eric Grube Jr., Phaedra Grube-Barraza, Bronson, Dena Abruzzo, Erin Abruzzo, Ashley Abruzzo, Samantha Abruzzo, Jillian Abruzzo, Alley Abruzzo-Brandmaier, and Hailey Abruzzo, Grube; and her 10 great-grandchildren, Tessa Grube, Raelin Grube, Eric Grube III (Trippers), MaKayla Boyer, MaKenzie Boyer, Bryson Boyer, PJ Galli, Nico Galli, Jace Brandmaier, and Remi Brandmaier.Elaine found joy in life’s simple pleasures, even in her final days. She especially loved pound cake and strawberry milkshakes. After moving to Utah to be closer to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, one of her favorite family traditions was Taco Tuesday. She also treasured gathering around the table with loved ones at Olive Garden and Outback. Elaine enjoyed the music of Elvis Presley and Celine Dion, a good movie, and some of her favorite television shows, including The Price Is Right, Blue Bloods, All in the Family, Everybody Loves Raymond, Little House on the Prairie, and her beloved soap operas.Elaine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her. Her beautiful spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for her family will remain a lasting gift in the lives of those she leaves behind.
